Jaden Brayboy, 18, and Tyrik Gill, 20, both of Stamford, were arrested Sunday around 8:30 p.m. following a search of a home on Finney Lane by the Stamford Police Department's Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit and SRT Team, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin.

The search was a result of a tip that Brayboy, who is on juvenile probation and is unable to have a firearm, was in possession of a gun, said Conklin.

When police executed the search warrant, both men, along with a juvenile refused to come out of a bedroom they were hiding in for at least seven minutes after officers arrived on the scene.

Once they exited the bedroom, officers searched the men and the residence, turning up a Glock .40 caliber handgun with an extended clip that would hold 31 rounds, more than $600 in cash, and 54 grams of marijuana packaged for sale, a digital scale and three black ski masks, Conklin said.

The gun was loaded with 23 rounds at the time it was discovered, police said.

The two were charged with criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm with a high-capacity magazine, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, conspiracy possession of a high-capacity firearm, and conspiracy possession of a loaded high-capacity firearm.

They are both being held on $150,000 bond.

"The department is happy to have this high-capacity weapon off the streets of Stamford," said Conklin.
